Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in 1980. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. She is of Polish origin (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's passion for acting was recognized at an early age. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell's mom signed her up with an agency just before she turned 13; she was then featured in TV commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. At this time, she also began classes in acting. Bell was a character who did not have a credit of Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in drama and music club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the starring Dorothy part. Following graduation, Bell made the move into New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied musical theater. in 2001 Bell quit her university in order to perform the part in the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her first credit debut with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the scene she played was removed out of the movie and she was not even in the credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
