Anamaria is a Romanian Actress. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. Her father, a teacher of theatre at one of Romania's top theater schools, also theater teacher. Awarded the Best Female Actor Award in 2000, for her performance in the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors. She was selected as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. As an actress with Romanian descendance, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen in the TV series British-Canadian Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Apart from her stellar performance in her debut film, the actress will also be recognized for her performance in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 weeks as well as 2 Days which won her many awards including the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days) produced by Cristian Mungiu, which was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her career. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular in the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. In the following year, she was major roles in 2014's Fury where she played Irma the German maternal aunt to Emma.
